OWIT- Nairobi is the first chapter in Africa of the Organization of Women in International Trade (OWIT), a non-profit association for the women and men working in all facets of international trade, designed to promote the advancement of women in trade and business.

 

Nellie Riunga-Awendo is the Director of Dannel Group of Companies which owns; Queens Cleaners & Dyers Ltd, Africa Accommodations, Eden Grounds. She is also a director and co-founder of Awendo Foundation which assists the less fortunate members of our society. Nellie has studied Insurance and is currently undertaking a Business Administration course. Nellie has done many self-development and business courses. She has been in business for over 10 years and has a burning entrepreneurial spirit. Nellie is a friendly and social person who has an insatiable appetite for knowledge. Nelly was recently appointed by OWIT - Nairobi to head its Publicity Committee which handles OWIT's newsletter and the website One of Nellie’s favorite quotes which mirror her thoughts: "Do just once what others say you can't do and you will never pay attention to their limitations again."
