WE ARE
OWIT-
Nairobi is the first chapter in Africa of the Organization
of Women in International Trade (OWIT), a non-profit association
for the women and men working in all facets of international
trade, designed to promote the advancement of women in trade
and business. OWIT’S Mission Statement is:

To enhance the status and interests of women in the field
of international trade through the establishment of a worldwide
network of local and international business contacts;
- To
provide a forum for members to exchange of views, ideas
and information to keep them informed of trends and developments
in the field of international trade;
- To
establish educational programs and activities in order to
encourage worldwide advancement of women in local and international
trade;
- To
promote professional growth, mentoring, education and leadership
among women working worldwide in the field of trade, both
in the private and public sector.
Launched
in April 2001, OWIT- Nairobi is a forum for networking, education,
information dissemination, professional growth and leadership.
Our members include women enterpreneurs, women involved in
import/export trade, sales and marketing, public relations,
logistics, transportation, freight forwarding, consultancy,
accountancy, law, banking and finance and information technology.
