Organization of Women In International Trade, Nairobi chapter (OWIT Nairobi) was launched in April 2001 under the auspices of the American Embassy - Commercial Section. OWIT- Nairobi kicked off to empower and equip women in International Trade.

OWIT Nairobi is a Business Membership Organization (BMO) for women and men working in all facets of international trade, designed to promote the advancement of women in trade and business.

OWIT Nairobi’s audacious goal is to enable women to generate 60 per cent of their sales from export by 2030, through four key objectives: Capacity Building, Access to Markets, Access to Finance and Mentorship.

OWIT Nairobi is organized into five sectors:
